Application for Membership

To apply for membership to the Brunswick Fire Company, you must be at least 18 years old and live in the general vicinity of the Brunswick No. 1 fire district. Residents of the City of Troy are welcome to apply for membership. The application fee is $6.00, which cover the first years dues and initiation fee.

Application

Applications are given two readings at general membership meetings and one reading at a Board of Directors meeting. Typically is takes about 2 months for an applicant to be accepted. Once the applicant is accepted he/she is placed on probation for six months or until the Fire Chief and the Board of Directors determine it is appropriate to make the probationary member a regular member with all rights and privileges. Probationary members are given turnout gear and may begin participating in training and alarms yet restrictions concerning level of activity and participation apply.
